Peer Support Training delivered by Nicola Dunford
Peer support training for breastfeeding is supported by the NHS through NICE (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence), who have commissioned a peer-support programme for women who breastfeed. This is delivered using the Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) as a minimum standard
Nicola has experience of delivering peer support training and has received fantastic feedback on her delivery method.
My aim throughout the delivery of the training is to build rapport with the trainees so that they feel empowered to use their learned skills to support other mums. Through my training delivery I enable them to deliver empathetic and best practice support for the benefit of the mums irrespective of any negative experiences which they may have encountered.
Nicola is available to deliver peer support training on behalf of other agencies across Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.
